A metro upgrades to Verified data when at least 5 independent real price lists accumulate for an item and a person reviews the range — the tier badge on the calculator tells you which you’re seeing today.
- Grounded in the FTC Funeral Rule. Every funeral home must provide an itemized General Price List on request. Those real GPLs are what move a metro from Modeled ranges to Verified ones; until an item crosses that bar, it stays on the national baseline. How every range is built: our methodology.
- A range, not a single number. The range tells you whether a quote is reasonable for your area, not whether it’s the lowest possible price. Inside the range is fair. Above it is a negotiation signal.
